• Now, rename this new file extension from .txt to .reg by right-clicking on it and selecting Rename.
• After that, double-click on the newly created reg file you just saved onto your Desktop, which will open a dialogue box asking for permission to add information into Windows Registry Editor. Click on the Yes button.
• Now, double-click back onto the reg file you just saved to your Desktop and select OK from the dialogue box that pops up again to allow Windows Registry Editor access to this new information added into registry settings. After that is done, restart your PC for changes to take effect.
